We all have the certain itch to check our phone for Instagram updates or a simple text message. We all want to see the hottest trends on twitter. With the electronic world, you can easily be sucked into Xbox, cellphone, iPad or anything iPod or I touch. We all want these things to occupy our time and entertain ourselves. And although social networking may be the thing of the future, it is also destroying our ecosystem. Electronic waste is what remains of our discarded cellphones, computers, tablets and MP3 players. It is estimated that more than two thirds of heavy metals in landfills come from electronic waste. It is estimated that electronic waste will increase 500 percent by 2025. The proper treatment of E-waste needs to start taking place, so that not only human suffering is adverted now and in the foreseeable future, but ecosystem and health is adverted as well.
