Technology affects the environment severely.
Technology effects the environment severely because of the mass high demand. Through this mass demand, there has to be factories where this technology is created. Because of these factories in many different countries, it creates smog and passes co2 into the air. This makes the air we breathe unhealthy for us. This co2 spreads heat into the air that causes all these environmental problems like melting ice, warming of the ocean etc. So yes, I think technology contributes hugely to how it affects our environment and global warming.
Technology can be used to decrease the level of co2 released into the atmosphere. Factories have "scrubbers" in their smokestacks that clean out most of the co2 emmitted from them. China is the main country with factory problems. In Beijing, children can't go out to play because of the smog. The residents have to put cloth over their faces just to be able to breathe.
