BENEFICIR FOR SOME, CYANIDE FOR OTHER.

We are Francisco Villar Magán, Sara Neira Rozas, Marina Senín Cotón, Tamara Soutullo Crespo, students of the high school I.E.S. de Sar in 1ºC.
Something pretty serious is just to happen in GALIZA. A Canadian company is planning to open opencast gold mines using technology in order to separate the gold like leaching with cyanide. It has got the approval of the Ministry  of environment to put an end not only to the scenery but polluting the water, the air, the estuaries, etc.
This method is forbidden in several countries like Czech Republic, Hungary and some states of the United States and it was forbidden by European Parlament according to the resolution on the 5th of May of 2010 about the general prohibition about the European Union because it's a very toxic substance which will put an end to Galiza. Our regional government of Galiza, without pay any attention the advices of the European Parlament about this, wants to give this proyect the consideration of strategic industrial proyect, according to the law 13/2011 on the 16th of De cember, which regulates the industrial policy of Galiza approved by Galician Parlament, with this qualify in its hands, the company will be exempt from complying with a lot of regulations as in the urban environment as in the environment level.
To put an end to the biodiversity which we value so much in Galiza it doesn´t seem the efforts are useful. Moreover this means to increase a 800% the possibility to contract cancer and mortal disseases.

This is absolutely terrible. How has no one given any consideration to this situation and give it the attention it deserves.
