How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Wants and Need
I think the latest technology is a want. People is always like something new instead of keeping something old. Just like, mostly people would like spend lots of money to buy a Iphone 6 instead of using a iphone 5s. And actually, what is the difference? Actually, nothing different. Cell phone just use for calling. The appearance of the phone can not change anything, that can not token your status, that can not bring something to you. And what is "need" means? Need means you did not a material can be used to do something that you are going to do. Need dose not mean buy everything that you did not have. Need dose not mean buy everything others have. So, before you want to buy something, think about that dose you really require that thing. : )
