In reading through this particular forum, I have concluded that the majority of students feel that the technological revolution is detrimental to our planet.  I feel, however, that by using technology in a smart way, we can actually reduce our waste in the long run.  In the past two years, my school has pushed for the in-class use of computers, supplying each student with a personal MacBook to use for educational purposes.  I have found that throughout this time, I have used considerably less paper than I used to because I rarely make hard copies of notes or do homework by hand anymore.  If our generation embraces the usefulness and practicality of technology rather than the leisure and amusement, I feel that we can utilize technology in a way that does not harm the environment.
