Is having the latest technology a want or a need?
How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?
Wants or Needs? >
Necessities?
We are often focused and drawn to the newest things. We are constantly asking and telling ourselves and others that we need the things we want. To need something means that it is very hard to live without and it cause a great inconvenience. A want is something that you can live without. It's something that doesn't have a whole big impact on your life if you don't have. A want is also something that we all mistake for a need. There are several things that we would love and want to have, but truly don't need them. We need to begin to ask ourselves if this is what I want or need. We need to try and create a fine a line between our wants and necessities.
Yasss ariana your right girl
this is true a lot of people desire a surplus amount of non important things which then later contributes to polluting the air, like clothes and shoes
I agree, people confuse a want for a need and its a big problem
I agree but sadly most people cant live without a phone so they see that as a need!
I agree, its a bad habit
I agree, people should learn that they cannot rely on technology for everything .
I agree, but when it comes to technology there begins to be a rather fuzzy line to cross between need and want. Now it's true that you don't exactly need it, but in some cases you do. Living without a phone, of any kind, can be rather hard at times and in some situations it's dire to have one. Now staying updated and constantly having the newest type of phone is somewhat a want, and it can be good yet bad. Bad because it can make people rather greedy, and make careless spending choices when it comes down to it. But in other ways it connects us, we're drawn to new idea's and making things together. So in ways it helps and hurts, but I agree with your statement.
I agree that is very true, people want more then what they need
