Is having the latest technology a want or a need?
How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

I'm not saying that upgrading technology is a bad thing, I love my phone and I've had it for four years, it is just as nice and effective as any other new "modern" device. Over time devices do wear out and will need to be replaced but people do not need to upgrade their phones every year.
