We have become a technology-reliant society, and this has its pros and cons. Technology can do many things like connecting to people on the other side of the world; this can help the environment by having and online video meeting instead of flying off on an airplane that releases tons of CO2. The world we live in also quickly replaces new technology with something even more brand new, and this kind of lifestyle is wasteful. A professor I met in a workshop had an idea that instead of buying a phone every year we replace a chip or something and connect it to the old phone so that it has all the technology we have in one device. Another thing is that in our society overly consumes. We always buy things new things instead of getting the old one fixed. That is why I think we should have more repair shops. This idea also helps the economy by having more jobs available.
