Is having the latest technology a want or a need?
How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Is technology needed or wanted?

New technology is a want; not a need. An upgrade for the newest technology is a waste of money and pollutes the earth. When we buy products, more products are shipped. The things they are shipped in pollutes the earth through gas/burning or whatever they use for power, unless it is renewable non pollutants that run it. It just is not necessary. Although it may be desired, it isn’t ‘needed’ like water, food, shelter, and things like that.
