How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Is Technology a Want or a Need?
The latest technology is a want because we don’t really need it to survive. Even though high technology helps with solving problems like health issues etc, people who lived before us way back then survived without that technology and survived just fine. I usually get a new cell phone every two years, but I probably didn’t really need to upgrade to a new model.

we need more parents that say no to new phones.
This is very well thought out, i agree with you in some aspects. With kids today needing friends they need a way to be social outside of school.
