How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

I think that nowadays, people usually buy a lot of electronic devices, I think that we don't really need them, because now it seems we can't live without them. And because we are always using them, and also wasting our time, instead of helping to take care of the world,
I fully agree with you. I agree that technology is more of a want then a need, but in the society we live in we have created our lifestyle around the need for money to survive. Money is a crucial aspect when dealing with everyday lives in order to buy what you need to survive, such as food, water and shelter, you must have a job to earn money to get such things. With the society relying on money to survive we need jobs, and statistics show that about “96% of working Americans use new communications technologies as part of their daily life.” This means that most jobs require technology and being up to date on tech in order to have a job to pay for necessary things to survive. So though, yes it is true that we rely on electronics, I believe we do need them in our current day society to survive.
