Wants or Needs?

Is having the latest technology a want or a need?

How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Food is required for life, this is not debatable. But the amount of food we buy and eat is debatable. A lot of families will have more than enough food at meals, either having leftovers or just throwing it away. I think the amount of food we buy and cook is a waste, making more of a want than a need.

I agree. In places like the USA, the food count is 8805. Too much food is a MAJOR issue. Families go to the store and buy whatever food looks good. We need to start taking care of our earth. In simple terms, people say to not buy what they won't eat. Seeing as the food count is sky high, we know this isn't working. By not buying extra food, we can dramatically help stop Global Warming. We see notices that Global Warming is a pressing issue, but people often think that what they individually do will not 'stop the earth'. Well, what people choose to buy can make an impact such as that if added up with others doing the same thing. We can look at the facts; Canada has a food count of 9909, Russia has a food count of 8129, and Australia has a food count of 10788. These are just three examples of the huge numbers that make up the food count. The people need to watch what they buy--it is so important.

Food is a major necessity for life.  At the most, the very most, a person can go three weeks without food. Any more amount of time a person would not be able to survive without even a littlest bit a food. So if you want to survive you need food.
