Is having the latest technology a want or a need?
How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Technology want or need
Today we live in a world where technology is taking over. Many people want the newest and most expensive items. People get upset with themselves or make fun of others because they don't have the most up to date items, is one of the biggest problems. We should be more worried about the world and taking care of it. Some technology is a need but some are unnecessary wants.
To add to Thomas's point when people get new electronic devices we could maybe donate the devices or if they are broken we could give it to the E-Waste at our school so it can be re-used. I agree with what Thomas said. Sometimes, it is unnecessary to buy the newest items if we can still continue using the old ones but some people just want to show off. In that way, technology is not needed at all.
