Wants or Needs
I think that having the newest technology is a want. All the time now, commercials are everywhere advertising new technology, saying how much better it is than all the others. Usually because of all these ads, everyone is just dying to buy one. For something like phones, their main purpose is communication, however many newer phones have many more features to incline more people to buy their products. Even though modern technology is a need for working people, there are lots of people who don't work but still have the latest technology.
