Greetings from Romania! I hear a lot of people complaining about the fact that technology is just a want. For children I agree with that. But for teenagers and adults it’s a hole different story. For teenagers is a real need using technology. They can learn more easily and in a more interesting way, also they get a lot of projects at school that need to be done by using a computer. As for adults is also a need because at work they keep the data in a computer and this help them be more organised and efficient.
  So, I consider that technology is also a need, but I wouldn’t get children computers or phones from such a small age.
   For reducing the carbon footprint I would consider using technology less often and keeping the device until until the new technology overtakes it, not changing it because a new one, more interesting, came out.

I also think that as the world changes and expands we become a lot more reliant on technology. Parents need it to keep tabs on their children and make sure they're safe, teens need it for school projects, in some ways, using this technology can be less harmful considering huge packets that usually need to be printed for 300+ students, can now be accessed online. Technology definitely has its ups and downs and I think we just need to learn how to use it to our own and the Earths advantage.
