Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon footprint
Hello!
My name is Maciek and I'm a little bit late with my post here, but: my total carbon footprint is 6885 kgs of CO2, basic footprint for Poland is 6.5.26kgs of CO2 . I have got the biggest problem in category ‘home’ what is 3649kgs. The difference is not so big than results in my region what is 2,858kgs. I want to ask you about what can I do to have lower footprint? Thanks for all the comments ![]()
Maciek, Rybnik, Poland
Hi Maciek! Nice to see you there
Maybe there's a problem with your quantity of bulbs? Or with something different. Are you segregate your rubbish?
Hi knopsaa! Yes, I do segregate my rubbish, but maybe bulbs are the biggest problem in my home as you said. Write me soon ![]()
Of course tomkoo, I'll write to you xoxo
I have a problem with category called "transport". My carbon production is 1910 kgs but in Poland the results are much lower(965kgs). What should I do?
You should to walk, not to drive everywhere! It's really healthly and you don't pollute our environment. What do you think about it?!
I mostly use public transport, but I'd try to change it. It is a really good idea! I really appreciate your advice. It's so nice that a stranger gives my such good advices :* xoxo
Yeeah @tomkooo, you're welcome :* xoxo
Hi!
My name is Rebecca.Wang from China. Actually I have the same problem as yours. To low my carbon foot print, I often ride bike instead of using public transportation. You know that sometimes you need to go to somewhere is far away from your home or school. Riding bike will be your best option, I think. ~~O(∩_∩)O~
