Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My carbon foot prints

The change I could do is when I need to go out by myself, I would usually use my bike or take the bus to instead of using vehicle. That could lower some of my carbon footprints.

I could use the bike or bus as my vehicles when the place I want to go is not so far from me. Because usually the place I go is not far from me.So why should I have to use the car to transport? The temperature of air-condition could be higher like 27 degree. If outside of my house(balcony) has cool wind, I don't need to open the air condition and just sit on the balcony. The temperature of air condition could effect the carbon emission. If the temperature outside of my house it's cool,I don't need to stay indoor.
