How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Base Needs V.s. Convenience

Clearly there is a difference between needs and whats convenient. But what balance should be struck? We don't want to have basic shelters, minimal food and water. But we also don't need to get a new phone every year or to have a T.V. in every room in our house. So what is the balance that should be struck?
