Also, there is societal pressure to have the latest and coolest technology, pressuring people to spend unnecessary money. New technology fuels America’s addiction to their phones. Technology is designed to be addictive and manipulate your brain. This distracts people from real life. Also, new technology is leading to higher rates of anxiety and depression. Additionally, this consumerism has lead to the mass depletion of natural resources. New technology is not necessary and is both harmful to you and the environment.
