Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

More bicycles it is a real good way to reduce carbon footprint?
Hi, I am Ivy who is from China.
Many people encourage using more bikes instead of driving cars. Absolutely, it is a good idea. However, does it can reduce carbon footprint effectively?
There are many people do not like riding bicycles due to safe problems and waste too much time if the distance is too far away. Importantly, promoting the condition of public transportation and adding stations between cities and suburbs. In Guangzhou where I live, the underground is very convenience with many train lines. Most people prefer choosing taking underground when they go outside. It is not only able to hold hundreds of individuals at one time, also the next one is coming soon in 2 minutes. In order to reducing the carbon footprint, not enough to change the habit, also improve the sustainable transportation.
