Transitioning to Using Renewable Energy

metallicaftw

In our world today, fossil fuels are common and important. They fuel cars, power electricity plants, and heat our homes. Fossil fuels release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which contributes to global warming. As a solution, people have tried using renewable energy instead. Renewable energy has been proven to be efficient, the only issue is that fossil fuels are much more abundant and are cheaper. This leads to fewer people who are inclined to transition to renewable energy. The first step in allowing people to make the transition is increasing awareness of the issue. Literally advertising and publicizing the problem can give people a better understanding of the issue at hand. If we could inform enough people about this, many would have a greater incentive to make the transition, now that they know about the severity of fossil fuels contributing to global warming. Meaning at that point, people would actually want to find a solution.

A second problem needs to be dealt with in order for this plan to become successful. There are people who can't afford giving up f ossil fuels and there are people who don't care about the condition of the earth and wouldn't want to give up fossil fuels because they want to save money. But there is one solution for both populations. We need to make renewable energy more common by building more wind turbines and solar panels. Why exactly would this help? Well, if something is mass produced, it becomes more abundant. And when something is more abundant, its value decreases because less effort is needed to obtain/employ it. Literally, by building more renewable energy producers, they become cheaper. When they become cheaper, more people will be capable and willing to make the transition to using renewable energy.

But wait! How do we produce so many wind turbines and solar panels? Essentially the global awareness will influence other companies to contribute to building the turbines and panels. Even if there is a slow start, the increased number of turbines and panels will eventually lead to reducing the cost of renewable energy to the point in which it will be easier for more and more companies to contribute. Not only that but the global awareness will influence scientists and engineers to construct more cost efficient solar panels and turbines. This, overall, should lead to an ultimate initiative to mass produce renewable energy producers and save the earth from global warming.
