Solutions To Decrease the Global Carbon Footprints
We all know that we have the problem of global carbon footprints in the world; well it just turns out that I have a couple solutions.
First and for most, we should all walk way more than we think. Gas from cars emit carbon dioxide into the air, which is very bad for the environment.
Next, we should recycle everything that is recyclable and reuse everything that is reusable, because harmful chemicals and greenhouse gases are released from the landfill.
We should also compost, because food that isn't provided with the proper materials for decomposition, releases methane gas into the air.
Lastly, you should conserve water and electricity, because using warm water uses a heating system, which releases greenhouse gases. Also, the more light you have in your home and the more you use it, the more carbon dioxide it emits into the air.
If you help with these solutions in at least the most minor ways; it can help you, your community, your country, or even the globe, so the carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases can decrease.
all great ideas, thanks Patricia!
I agree with your ideas to decrease the global carbon footprint. I also support your solution to reduce pollutants emitted from cars by walking. Another alternative to walking is to take public transport such as buses, trains, and carpooling because less individual cars will be traveling to the same destination. Secondly, one can replace all incandescent light bulbs in a house with LED (light emitting diode) or CFLs (compact fluorescent light bulbs). According to elemental led, 90% of the power needed to “provide the desired brightness” in incandescent light bulbs is released as heat rather than visible light. LED light bulbs are the best choice because they emit less than half of the energy used in comparison with CFLs and last ten times longer. Lastly, our society should invest more in alternative energy sources including solar and wind energy. By installing solar panels and wind turbines, we can lower our global carbon footprint and combat our dependence on fossil fuels.
