What if instead of burning fossil fuels that emits carbon dioxide to create energy cars and other machines take in carbon dioxide and converts it to oxygen? This would greatly help the atmosphere by taking in carbon dioxide instead of putting it into the atmosphere. It might be hard to create it now but with the continuous advancement of technology this could be a way to temporarily slow down the rate carbon dioxide is put into the air until a new source of energy is found. This technology could help decrease the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere faster than it currently is. This technology should not replace plants or help cause deforestation faster because other animals need those to live, but instead should help speed up the process of converting carbon dioxide into oxygen. This may not solve global warming but creating this technology will help in the future as part of the solution to global warming.

If we could do that, that would be cool, but you're talking about technology that doesn't even exist yet. A more viable option would be trying to carpool more or use public transportation in order to reduce emissions from cars, and also we could try planting more trees.
