At first nobody would give up their beloved Doritos or instant noodles, but maybe after people saw the real effects of what actually goes into that small plastic noodle cup, they'd cut it out of their diet completely. It was seem crazy but if Vancouver started to cut out products that have palm oil in them, that could save the Amazon. Eventually other provinces and other counties would follow.

I agree, I find it crazy that people are just cutting down those trees just for the fruit up top. I think that  the companies that run the palm oil project could just pick the fruits from the top of the tree instead of cutting the whole entire tree down. I know that they're trying to conserve money but these companies should be rich because of how many other companies in the food industry use their product. So it shouldn't be a big problem to hire more workers and tools to just chop the palm fruits off. Also I feel like the demand for chips and food products that use palm oil is only growing. Maybe the world could slow down their want and eat things that are greener for everyone.
