Shop Local
I think society needs to really start shopping more locally as according to a study by the EU (http://www.europarl.europa.eu/RegData/e … 4/IPOL_STU(2015)569964_EN.pdf ), shipping could account for an astounding 17% of greenhouse gas emissions by 2050! This would be huge, and a serious problem, which is easily fixed if we just bought more locally.
I agree with you because shipping our food is so expensive and it puts poorer countries in charge of our food and it can be less healthy because large companies can put chemicals in our food that we don"t know about. If a local farmer sells you food you can get the healthiest because when he sells to you need to be happy with the food for him to have more customers.
I agree because it can also support smaller businesses and can help the local economy.
