Focus on the Price

agmarie12

We do have many ways to save energy, but the reason that we have not converted to these efficient processes is mainly because of the price.  Solar panels are a great way to conserve energy, however, they are very expensive and cannot be used all of the time.  As technology advances, we should put a lot of focus on making solar panels with cheaper materials so they can be less pricey.

I agree that one of the main reasons that we have not converted to more efficient energy processes is because they cost more than some of the energy resources that we currently use the most. Both solar panels other inexhaustible energy sources such as wind turbines are good ways to conserve energy, but they cost too much to be built. If we could find good ways to make solar panels and wind turbines for less money, then we could conserve more energy.

I agree that the reason people choose to not conserve energy due to price, but with people who can't afford the solar panels, how can we make up for that increase of energy being created? How can people who don't have enough money for solar panels still continue to save energy? I think that what we can do is do research on solar panels and find a way to use less pricey materials. Also I think people can be mindful of the amount of energy being used, from lightbulbs and gas heater, and I think just spreading the word can probably lessen the amount of energy more.

I agree that price is a major factor when deciding to get solar panels. Unfortunately, according to "TIME" tariffs have been imposed on 30%  on all solar equipment abroad. This means that solar equipment will be much harder to acquire in low-income areas, which usually don't produce as much Carbon Dioxide as big cities. The areas we need to focus on are heavily populated cities. In order for solar panels to be installed in structures, there could be a law stating that 20% of the cost to make the commercial building should go into making the building energy efficient, whether that be through solar panels or LED lights. This would cut down on Carbon Dioxide omissions and benefit our environment.

In fact in some states renewable energy sources are actually cheaper than coal, fossil fuels or gas

The switch to renewable energy sources is very important so it should be more affordable. Fossil fuels can't be used forever and will continue polluting the environment until we switch or it runs out.

If we can make solar panels cheaper it gives everyone a chance to be more energy efficient and a better world to live in.
