My Sustainable City
The next step up from a sustainable family is a sustainable city. In my future sustainable city, I would have free electric trains to transport people around the city. Instead of grocery stores, there would be community gardens and city farms to produce enough food for the city. This would eliminate a surplus of wasted food. To water the gardens and flush the toilets the city would use grey water. This would reduce the amount of water that needs to be purified. There are definitely more ways to make a city sustainable but small steps.
I like the way you think and I saw some interesting designs about sustainable citys by Arabian goverment which want to use public trains beneath the surface of the city wich runs on electricity. They wanted to create a big machines which would purify the water from the and they would use it to water the green surface in the city. Because the city would be in the desert where the temperature are high they wanted to build special arhitectural building which would provide some shadow on the street. Food supplies would be created by the people in the city and they wouldnt use money. The only reason why it is not so good is that it would be only for the rich sheiks that run the country
I love the ideas you had about using the resources we have like gray water instead of having to purify water just to make it dirty with our waste. Free city trains is a good idea because customers will not have to pay money just to get across town, however how would companies that run the trains make money? If there is no source of income wouldn't the train companies go bankrupt? The community gardens are a great idea because they not only limit the amount of food that is wasted, they also can lead to consumers appreciating the work that goes into make fresh fruits and vegetables because they will be picking the food themselves.
Your ideas for a sustainable city sound amazing. Another thing I could think of to make your city even better would be to make everything within walking distance to each other. If this were to occur, there would be less carbon emissions in the atmosphere.
I really like your idea of a sustainable city. This idea really allows people to drastically change their carbon footprint based on their daily activities. For example with the train system in this idea it will save people so much gas and energy.
I like your idea of a sustainable city, but how are the free electric trains going to work? How are you gonna make it free? How will these trains operate and get fixed if there is no source of income for it's repairment?
My mom works for a lighting company, there they have one project called "smart city" where lighting in the whole city would be automated, an mostly use LED lights. it would lower the total carbon pollution a lot.
