Is "green economy" the model of the future?
Hello all users of this website!
According to an inquiry of “Global Survey of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability” consumers are increasingly "eco-responsible" and are willing to spend more on sustainable brands and green products. A “green economy” is an economic system whose main development factor is the reduction of environmental impact. This type of economy take into account all potential environmental damage and tries to compensate the biological impact it has on the environment. However, care must be taken not to confuse the “green economy”with “sustainable development”which is more of an economic principle based on industrial and productive development that respects the environment. The "green economy" also carries on the possibility of making profits while you are help the environment. “green economy” should be understood as an objective not alternative, but instrumental to the promotion of "sustainable development". The objective of this new economic system is to overcome the old economic model based on the exploitation of natural resources and low attention to environmental impacts.
Thanks to the inquiry it seems that this new model is having success, also because it allows companies to find profits.
Do you believe in this new type of economic model? Do you buy products from companies that follow it?
