Have you ever heard of fast fashion? Well fast fashion is like, when you want to buy a nice shirt at a shirt store, then you come back the next week and see a new shirt they have and you really want it, although your closets already a way too full for this one new shirt. So to buy the new shirt that you really want you throw two of your shirts in the garbage or you donate it, then next week you do the exact same thing, and then the cycle keeps going on and on for weeks. If you agree this is pretty wasteful. Tons and Tons of clothing that can be reused is being thrown in our landfills every year. Also some programs that say they reuse your old clothing only end up using 1/4 of the clothing that is given to them. It's just not as simple as you think to reuse fabric like that. Although I had a thought on a public transit bus one day looking at the seats people were sitting on, I thought about how inside those seats were stuffing like fluff, but what if we could take really old/bad clothing that can't be worn anymore and ripe the threads off one by one or at least into small  pieces of fabric and used that as stuffing for seats on buses. So some of the clothing from fast fashion can be donated than thrown away, you could donate them to a homeless shelter or a thrift shop, any way that someone else can wear the clothing that you don't want anymore. Then the clothing that can't be given away can go in pillows and and seat cushions instead of our landfills or even other countries landfills.
