Solar energy

One thing that I was thinking about recently is using solar power on electronics, mainly phones. You’ve probably used a calculator that has some tiny solar panels on it. These would be similar to those. There would be a few mini solar panels on a phone that could help charge it. Obviously, phones would still need to be charged using a cord, but the solar power would reduce the amount of time they would be charged with one. With solar power charging the phone more, less carbon dioxide would be put into the atmosphere. With over 2 billion people owning a phone, the drop in carbon dioxide being put into the atmosphere would be very significant.

I think this is a great idea! It is a great alternative but it may be very expensive and sadly, I don't think many people would be willing to spend extra for something like this. Maybe if people were more educated and willing to help reduce carbon footprints, this would be an option.

While this is a great idea, the energy output of just 1 strip of the solar powered calculators is 0.4-0.6v and to charge a phone requires at least 5 volts of running power. Even with 9 of these strips attached to your phone, like I said, there needs to be running power so get it to charge even a little bit. On the other hand, this little tech is cheap and easy to fit on ur case.

I really like your idea I think. its a really good idea. I think it will bring a new age to the technology phones have. I also think that will go great with the new galaxy s10 has where you can share power with other devices. it would create a better way to give power to other devices. and we could also have like solar power stands in the park where people can come to charge their phone. either way, I think it's very smart and I think you should go after this.
