My name is Pragneya. I am from Mooresville, North Carolina, USA. I am 16 years old. My carbon footprint is significantly low. My total footprint is 8,390 kg, it is below the average of my class. The majority of my footprint came from home which was 4,596 kg, because of electricity, water, etc… I was really surprised by my footprint, it wasn’t expected at all. I really thought I used transportation, home, food, and purchases more than what the results came out to be. I was really surprised at my transportation which came out to be 1,070 kg, because it was extremely low. I thought about it, and I don’t really use public transportation, and I haven’t been on a plane in a while. I learned about how many resources I use throughout my day. Now I know what I use most of and what I use less of, I can change what I do everyday to decrease my carbon footprint. For example, for home I will try to use less of electricity. Looking at my carbon footprint, I am sure many changes can be made to my lifestyle.
