Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Low carbon footprint=no traveling?
I am Hugo from Guangzhou, China. If I am honest, I will say that my carbon footprint is tremendously higher than the average of China and the world. I feel shame and I need to do something to decrease my carbon footprint. Guangzhou is a big city, I use to travel a lot, so I need to go long distances, I usually hang out with my parents in their cars, which I know is not recycling, I think I should ride my bike more frequently or take the public transportation, but considering how hot it is outside in summer, I rather to stay home if I am not necessary going out. If I can persist on, I believe I can decrease my carbon footprint.
Taking public transportation would definitely be a good way to reduce your carbon footprint. My transportation category was also fairly high. If you took any airplane flights, that would really increase your transportation category, too.
