From all the CO2 in the atmosphere, the ocean absorbs an excessive amount, causing coal reefs to be bleached and many animals to die because of the extremely warm waters and lack of food. I think this is a big problem the world is facing now and we need to do a better job trying to protect our environment and the things that live in it.

I agree with this post as the higher of CO2 in the atmosphere, more and more variables in Earth will be affected. The most significant and most controversial topic is Climate Change. As the Earth is heating up from CO2 or other greenhouse gases, things such as sea level will rise. Global warming can warm the water up as you said. We need to rise as a community and face this problem rather than doing nothing. The Earth is just going to get worse the more humans do nothing.

I agree with what you said about the ocean absorbing large amounts of CO2 - this should not excused because it puts Earth's organisms at risk. Initiatives we can take are watching what we put down our drains at home, and reducing our uses of plastic. Also, worrying about how we release fossil fuels in general needs to be considered as well, whether it is by controlling our transportation or food intake. Humans need to take action instead of continuing bad habits.

I agree with you about this topic; it is very odd how none of these long-term problems are mentioned on the news or anywhere outside of the classroom; we'd have to search for it. People don't realize the fact that ocean acidification as well as other long-term problems in the Earth will indeed come to haunt us in the future if not aware of. If the majority seven billion people in the world contribute to the protection to our environment, for example by participating in volunteer work on weekends or times that a lot of people are available, we can turn that pessimism into optimism.

I totally agree, I feel that if the news could talk about these very important issues it will bring it to the attention of many more people and that could be the kickstart humankind needs to take care of the environment. Humans are only one out of 8.7+ million species of animals that live on Earth (according to bbc) yet we are the ones that are hurting the environment and putting all the other species in the world at risk. If we don't change soon humans will be responsible for the extinction of many species. Humans are currently responsible for about 322 extinct species within the last 500 years (according to seeker.com) and humans will become responsible for many more if we don't change.

I agree as well. As a community, we need to come together and figure this problem out because the longer we go without fixing this the worst the CO2 concentration will. Many humans don't realize what this CO2 concentration does to our Earth. It causes global warming and it affects our living organisms. The longer we go with this problem we won't be able to fix it in time. This is a major problem in our society and it needs to get fix soon.

I agree with you.  Human produces an excessive amount of CO2 n different ways would affect our Earth. Since the CO2 is increasing, the global warming would be a problem for all of us,  not only the coral reefs are bleached, but it will affect the whole biosphere. This is a potential problem in our society that would have great impact.

I totally agree with everything you guys said. I believe a big problem today is the education about our environment. Not enough people are learning about one of the world's biggest problems, which means many people will continue what they are doing, polluting the earth, and not knowing that what they are doing is wrong and hurtful for the environment. Some people don't even believe climate change exists! This is a very big problem, especially because there is so much evidence to back it up. People need to learn why throwing your trash is bad, or why even washing your car with soap is hurtful for the environment.
