Sustainable City

Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.

What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

A greener house

regenerate

Houses now days are big, bulky, have multiple stories  and are mainly for one person. My idea of a house, as well as many others was to build the greenest house with the most livable and fun life style possible. It would be mainly built out of Hemp as it is the strongest, least difficult to get unlike wood (hemp grows year round, but trees grow in about 20 years), and is most durable building material in the world. The build of the house would be ran by its own power source, eg wind power and solar but the house would have to be up high to get the most out of the solar and wind power generators. I would have technology in the house like computers and Tv, but it would be far less wasteful because, renewable energy from the solar and wind power generators would be endless. now, the house is one thing, but what about a garden? A garden is the BEST way to go about obtaining food, as it does not require alot of travel to get the food to you (eg by truck or boat). It requires care and support so you will have to care for your garden. water is also a issue, you could have a rai n collection tank but with all the pollution now, its a lot harder. Ground water could be the solution, thats what I have currently and it works fine to supply me fresh water. I will post another post that is more in depth and is more accurate, but for now, this will do.
