Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

Electric vs. Gasoline Powered Cars
In a city that I designed, everyone would own an electric car. The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) said that electric vehicles emit less greenhouse gasses the average gasoline car. They say that full adoption of the cars could reduce the United State's global warming pollution by four-fifths by 2050. It seems like a long time in the future, but we need to start doing things to make sure that we save the environment for future generations. The owners of electric cars also save between $750 and $1,200 a year in fuel costs. Charging the cars do take a lot of energy, but in comparison to the gasoline gars, they're still better for the environment. In my city, people would drive these cars to pollute less.http://singularityhub.com/2013/12/22/it … d-cousins/
Electric cars are more efficient than gas powered cars but , where dose the power come from ? 63% of the worlds energy comes from the burning of fossil fuels and natural gas. So if every one drove an electric car. The power system would have to advance with electric car technology. If the technology doesn't advance with the car technology then eventually we would not have enough power for everyone.
