My name is Briana. I am 16 years old and live in Mooresville, North Carolina, USA. My total carbon footprint was 42,607kg, which is a decent amount above average. Majority of my footprint came from transportation. My family traveled a lot this year, including plane trips internationally, which have a major effect on my transportation footprint. I was fairly surprised at how large of an impact air travel had on my total footprint. Typically, my family is very aware of our environmental impact. Ignoring my transportation footprint, I was below average on every other category. In the future I may refrain from traveling as frequently, as it made up an extremely large portion of my carbon footprint.
