How to reduce your carbon footprint while driving
In today's modern society, everyone's usual mode of transportation is a car. Driving vehicles produce a lot of carbon and here are some ways to reduce the emissions. Carpooling and using public transportation will greatly reduce your carbon footprint or even just walking and riding your bike. Driving a fuel efficient car can positively result in your outcome. Even though electric cars create a carbon emission, they still are better than hybrid and standard vehicles because
their MPG (miles per gallon) equivalents are higher. Driving over the speed limit causes excessive acceleration ,which wastes gas and money, results in a higher carbon footprint. Using properly inflated tires increase your mileage by up to 3%. Combining errands in one trip, removing extra weight from the car, and using cruise control are just some of the many ways you can reduce your carbon footprint while driving.
This is good information for me to know because in my Carbon Footprint transportation had the highest amount of carbon emitted. I am probably going to buy an electric car when I grow up! Also I am currently beginning to carpool with friends. I began walking and riding bikes to places that are in short distances.
That is very useful to me because I drive everywhere I go and I have started to carpool and have multiple people in my car. I plan on buying an electric car when I get older, especially the tesla. I agree if more people carpooled and drove the speed limit it would reduce the footprint of many people.
