Reducing Water Use
Hi, my name is Kenny Yu and I am from the Environmental Science Academy at Oakland High School. I believe one way to lower your carbon footprint is to conserve water. The average gallons of water used in America is 17.2 gallons and some people take two showers per day.I think people should take less and shorter showers or people can turn off the water when it's running and they're not using it. This can save a lot of water in a lot of cities.
This is an awesome idea Kenny! Using less water is definitely something all Americans should try to do and taking fewer and shorter showers is a superb example of how to do that! thank you for sharing and encouraging us to use less water!
I agree with you! If each person took a shower that was just a few minutes shorter, so much water would be saved. I also agree with you when you said people don't need to shower more than once a day. Showering excessively is so wasteful! If someone still wanted to take a long time in the shower, they should turn off the water when they aren't using it.

I think this is a good idea because people in America are using so much water. People can also not run the water while brushing your teeth or when washing dishes by hand not use water unless you are rinsing the dishes off.
