Sustainable City

Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.

What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

Reusing as Much as We Can

One way we can help to reuse things such as glass bottles and even plastic bottles is how they do it in Germany (I believe). What they basically do is that they only use glass bottles for almost everything and when the bottle no longer has what it contained, you have to go to a specific place where those bottle are reused and so that's a great way to kind not produce so much of what's hurting the environment and the planet that we live in.

I think this is a great idea! If we could do that here with glass as well that would be awesome. I think we  could also reuse plastic water bottles, or plastic containers just like how Germany reuses their glass bottles. If we use more recyclable items then we will have less waste. We can also use composts to help with agriculture. All we would have to do is take fruit peels or leaves and bury them near the plants we grow. Nutrients will filter into the soil. Reusing is a great way to keep our environment clean.

This is an amazing idea!  In many European countries, they usually have a place where the people recycle the glass bottles and it returns back to the factories to be cleaned and refilled with soda all over again.  They used to do that in America before, a long time ago.  I wonder what happened? Why did it change all of a sudden?  I think America should do more to motivate its people to recycle more.
