Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Luke's Carbon Footprint
Hi I’m Luke, I live in Mooresville, North Carolina, USA and I’m sixteen years old. My carbon footprint was different from what I expected. I thought my total was gonna be very close to the average because I’m a pretty average person. My total carbon footprint was 51731 kg. The majority of my carbon footprint came from transportation. I play soccer so I normally have to drive far distances for games, and tournaments. My reaction to my carbon footprint was very shocked. My results were not expected and I felt very guilty because I felt that I was killing the environment. In the future I think I will try to be more aware of what I am doing so I can decrease my carbon footprint.
