A Sustainable City
The city I have in mind would be very clean. Next to every trash can, there would be a recycling bin. In previous posts, I've seen some very good ideas like adding more bike lanes to our streets or laundry detergent refill stations. A lot of greenhouse gases are produced from transportation, and a great way to reduce it would be to switch most gas-burning cars to electric cars or energy efficient cars like Smart cars. About once every two weeks, there would be optional service days dedicated to planting more trees around and inside the city or picking up/recycling trash. All lights used to light restaurants, stores, buildings, and billboards would be LED light bulbs or CFLs. In general, switching everything to better energy efficient options would be very beneficial to our environment.
