My sustainable city would try to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases we emit. One way the city would do this is by creating more bike lanes. This would encourage more people to bike to the places they want to go. Because biking does not require fuel, toxic batteries, or motor oil, it contributes to a clean environment. Another way the city would reduce the amount of greenhouse gases is by switching the bulbs in streetlights to LED bulbs. LED bulbs last about 20 times longer than other bulbs, so they wouldn't need to be replaced that often. They also consume less energy than other light sources. Switching to LED bulbs would be environmentally friendly. Using alternative energy is another way that my city would reduce the amount of greenhouse gases. These are three ways that my city would reduce the amount of greenhouse gases we emit.

I agree with you, these what the government needed and wanted in China.
I'm too agree, but I think that the elevated costs it isn't possible to make a city so clean. We don't know, that in fact to breathe poison and to have a big carbon footprint has an even higher cost: our lives. Your ideas are good and valid but it is required so much time before it is possible to apply. I think that thanks to sites as this, it's possible to awaken the persons. If all do something, we can improve the situation. And than: buy and use the LED bulbs and use the bicycles and not the cars !
