Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

San Francisco's Carbon Reduction
The City of San Francisco has reduced carbon emissions by 12% below levels from 1990 and they have also exceeded emission reduction goals set by both the United Nations and the State even as the population has grown. In 2010 San Francisco’s citywide carbon footprint totaled 5.4 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. In 1990, their carbon footprint totaled to 6.2 million metric tons . The analysis was conducted by the San Francisco Department of the Environment and it covered the three primary sources of carbon emissions: buildings, transportation and waste. More cities should try and take bigger steps to reduce their carbon footprints. I think a lot of people realize what they should do, but not everybody actually does the things they say they will or can do.
