can we reduce co2 emissions in the air while driving?
Mabye in the future if we could develop a type of fuel that uses co2 emissions to power vehicles and produces oxygen as a by product instead of carbon dioxide
I think that this would be great because not only would vehicles not be producing co2 but they would be depleting the co2 in the atmosphere. Developing this technology is obviously a major issue as well as harvesting co2 that would be used.
I think that driving electric cars such as Teslas would help because they do not emit any co2.
I was thinking if people were mindful about being mindful of not getting stuck in traffic there would be far less co2 emitted. Just with a bit of planning we could limit our Co2 amounts by alot.
Maybe we could develop a fuel that is formed by taking co2 from the air like Jovan K said, but it also used some other chemical or resource like how plants use co2 and sunlight in photosynthesis to produce energy. If we could do something like that where we could convert co2 directly into a useful fuel source, then that would help fix global warming and fix the oil wars.
There is always biodiesel, which is basically fuel made out of an oily grain or plant that is treated to remove impurities that would destroy an engine-the exhaust from a car burning biodiesel als o smells like French fries, which is a bonus.

under the efficiency and economic arguments section it says that biodiesel takes a lot of resources to produce. Other websites say that biodiesel is not very efficient because it uses a lot of energy to grow the crops, harvest them, refine them, and then ship the fuel out to distributors. So biodiesel is not always a good solution
Yes, but it can be easily mass produced and has a much lower carbon impact than conventional hydrocarbon fuel
While it has a lower carbon impact in itself, growing and producing the crops to make the fuel actually uses more energy in fossil fuels than the resulting energy biodiesel puts out. I did an entire debate about this topic in eighth grade, and biodiesel actually lost to fossil fuels mainly because of the above reason.
I think Endora L.W. is probably right about the biodiesel and how good it is for the environment, but what about hydrogen-electric cars? Although they have yet to be mass produced the concept has been proven effective in prototypes by several different car companies, and better yet the only waste product is water! Hydrogen-electric cars also happen to conform to our current life style of quick fill ups rather than twelve hour charging times that you have with regular electric cars.
