Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

Bikes
A good idea for a city could be using bicycles. If we had rentable bike stations around the city, that could be used for not a lot of money (or a Clipper card or something), we could greatly reduce the amount of people in cars, and overall the amount of carbon emitted into the atmosphere.
That is a great idea. Riding bikes and eventually declining sales of bikes could save water, too. It takes 39,090 gallons of water to make a car ( http://www.treehugger.com/clean-technol … -make.html ) and there are about 255.8 cars in the U.S alone. Also, in science class we have talked about how much carbon dioxide cars produce. Not to mention this could help people's health and increase exercise amount.
