Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?
Sustainable City >
Public Transportation and Bikes
In a sustainable city, there could be more encouragement to use public transportation like trains and buses. Also, they could make it so the buses and trains run completely on clean gas or are all zero-emission. They could also encourage people to ride their bikes more often so that they could reduce their footprints by not giving off emissions by driving.
I completely agree. I don't feel like people release how much waste automobiles produce per a mile. Cutting on it by taking public transit, carpooling, bike riding, or walking, can save us so much energy by burning less fossil fuels.
Thats a great point. Riding your bike to places that are not to where ever you need to go is a big win-win. Not only are you lowering your carbon foot print, you are keeping you self healthy and fit
Good point, very true. I agree completely.
