Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?
Sustainable City >
Eco-friendly town
In my sustainable city I would have compost and recycling bins all over. I would have many small businesses to reduce the amount of carbon released to ship products. Gardening would also be very important to grow our own fruits and veggies and again, reduce the amount of products that would need to be shipped. The compost could help fertilize the soil and compost and recycling would be separated from the trash if people accidentally throw them in the wrong bin. We would have multiple bike paths and eco-friendly cars, and carpooling would be highly encouraged. We would have multiple parks and trees and encourage people to get outside and enjoy the town.
I forgot to mention that we would have much of the town's energy fueled by solar panels
