My city would have convenient transportation, that was run on alternative energy, like wind or solar power. The transportation would have many lines and stops so that there was no need to even drive to the transportation stop. My city would also have bike lanes on every street, so biking would be safe and therefore a popular option of transportation. If someone wanted to drive, I would have high gas rates, so that people were discouraged from driving. Although driving is convenient, but in my city, public transportation would become so convenient and affordable, no one would want to drive.

These are all really great ideas because they all help in reducing carbon in the atmosphere. Another component that I would add to my sustainable city would be having everything run by solar power, like houses, businesses, etc., not just transportation. I would also make it a law in my city that all people have to compost their leftover food so that the food is not wasted to make the city more green and environmental friendly. Also, I would have a limit on how much energy each household could use during the winter because there will be less solar power to fuel it.
