Here's your chance not just to be the mayor, but the original city planner as well! Imagine a medium sized city that would be developed with modern, low carbon transportation in mind, and other strategies to reduce the average citizens' carbon footprints.
What would that city look like? Would that make you more likely to want to live there?

Car Pollution
According to treehugger.com, about 25% of cars are causing 90% of pollution that we breathe. We should make simple changes such as, taking public transportation more, and organizing carpools to school and extracurricular activities.
I did more research on car pollution, and I found out that In 2013, transportation contributed more than half of the carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, and almost a quarter of the hydrocarbons emitted into our air. (http://www.ucsusa.org/clean-vehicles/ve … xpZGjArLIU) If we start biking places or walking or limiting our car usage then maybe car pollution won't be very high.
I think instituting more hybrid cars into this country would be great. Some people dont like hybrid cars which is easy to understand. Some cars give more pollution to the enviorment then others but most do make a dent in the carbon footprint.
I understand that busses and trains may also cause pollution, but public transportation can really help limit the amount of cars we use. Carpooling would also help by limiting a few cars. Hybrid cars also sound like a great idea due to the smaller amount of pollution that they may give off.
I feel that by introducing more affordable hybrid cars, people would be more likely to buy eco-friendly products. For instance, if the price of green vehicles were reduced, more people would buy them and reduce the consumption of fossil fuels.
