Saving Energy at Home

IrisM

A huge concern to the world we live in now is the amount of CO2 in our atmosphere. Greenhouse gas emissions is the leading contributor to carbon dioxide emissions in our atmosphere. Greenhouse gases trap heat in our atmosphere, resulting in warmer climates and climate change. Climate change is resulting in the North and South Poles melting with flooding and droughts all over the world. Human activity is responsible for almost all of the greenhouse gases in emitted into our atmosphere in the last 150 years.
About 67% of the greenhouse gases in our atmosphere are from burning fossil fuels, which are natural gases and coal. Some ways to help conserve energy and CO2 emissions is to use less heat, turn the lights off when you leave a room, use energy-saving light bulbs, and take faster showers. Water-heaters use fossil fuels to heat the water.
These are all tips to help lower carbon dioxide emissions in the environment and to help save our planet for future generatio ns!
